annexd to the convent of the Capuchins, the Santurario rises on a hill not far from the inhabited center. Was built around 1530-1535 on the ruins of a pre-existing abbey. Preserves a wooden bas-relief the late Byzantine-portraying the Virgin Mary, venerated with the title of Santa Maria of Josafat, which according to tradition was brought to San Marco by the Crusaders who founded the village of return from the Holy Land.
In the convent, dating back to 1585, he lived Padre Pio da Pietrelcina from 1905 to 1906 and then in 1918.
