Recent research dates back to the church at the end of the eleventh century, while the latest restorations have brought to light the interventions succeeded over time, making it a real historical / archaeological palimpsest of the second millennium, as well as discovering the magnificent fresco of the Madonna della Rondine, dating from the early sixteenth century, a rare testimony of the ancient devotion to this Marian image.
