Medieval Bridge of Quercia Rota

A stone bridge called Quercia rota dating back to the 6th century A.D. rebuilt between 500 and 1000 A.D. in the early Middle Ages.
At one time, a branch of the Via Clodia passed there on its way to Lake Mezzano and on to Castro, skirting countless Roman farms in the area, and it was an important crossing of the Olpeta River.
