Church of San Teodoro

Chiesetta di San Teodoro

predates the urban settlement today, was perhaps a hermitage. Seems to have undergone profound transformations and perhaps even the original orientation of the main body of the Church. There are in fact traces of arcs of terracotta inserted on the right side the external invoice very ancient, perhaps arcs of exhaust. The exterior is made of stone with pitched roof with two slopes and smaller body apsed right. The bells engage on the nave, supported by masonry elements. The interior is a hall with a chapel to the right in correspondence of the outer body apsed. Left blind arches and windows at the top. The amplitude of the chapel is not a correct articulation in space with respect to the nave on which it engages.

There is attached a convent that communicates with the Church by means of a door on the left side of the main altar. Recent restoration give a pleasant appearance to the outside, while the interior is free of interest stylistic and preserves fragments of a beautiful baroque altar in white marble and polychrome. Has a small basin in marble on the wall for the Acquasanta.

Inside, on the first arch on the left, there is a wooden crucifix dating back to the XVIII century. The wood is stuccoed and painted. Of discrete notch, has fallen almost total of colored stucco on legs, legs and on right arm.
