A small waterfall surrounded by greenery with natural pools of water, in the immediate vicinity of Castel di Tora on Lake Turano.
A hiking trail of difficulty T/E with a difference in altitude of 150 m, a 2-hour walk.
A natural staircase protected downstream by a fence, at the end of which you reach the Vallocchie ditch.
Here you can admire the many species of trees and shrubs present and the slender flow of water along the numerous natural steps, made up of limestone and sandstone deposits, which create a suitable environment for the reproduction of the freshwater crayfish.
Following the ditch for about 200 metres, you come to a wooden staircase that leads directly to the waterfall.
Here there is a spectacular setting formed by a waterfall of about 30 m. and walls of spongy limestone rocks, which highlight the karst process.
Due to the presence of numerous caves and others, this place is called in Castelvecchio dialect “U buciu de le Coreara” (the hole or nest of the crows).
