During the summer, the town overlooks the Trail of the Dolomites and in winter on the mythical cross-country ski run of the Marcialonga. It is also close to the ski lifts of the Ski Center Latemar and the Alpe Cermis. Attentive to the quality of life and hospitality of the families, the town boasts a elegant square and liveable beside the church Madonna di Loreto. In the hamlet of Roda deserves a visit the small church of Santa Anna. Fir Woods arrive at the edges of the village and for this Ziano is also the seat of the sawmill of the Magnificent Community of Fiemme.
A good place to stay both in summer than in winter, from the village you can reach places of great interest both from the point of view of environmental/naturalistic both from a historical point of view. Climbing, wonderful conifer woods, toward Val di Sadole meet Malga Sadole and Refuge Monte Cauriol, ideal starting points for some suggestive excursions on the chain of the Lagorai, theater of the great battles of the First World War. The opening of the two refuges is summer. Inside the Refuge Monte Cauriol is, inter alia, a small museum with a collection of relics and the description of the story of war of these mountains.
Ziano is also famous for being the birthplace of many samples. Cross-country skiing: Giulio Deflorian, brothers Bice and Giorgio Vanzetta and Antonella Confortola. Snowboarding: Lidia Trettel.
