Fontanetto Po is a town of “land and water” of which remains of the past remain in the large wheel moved by the current of the Logna near the Po and in the turbine of the early 1900s that powered the Riseria San Giovanni Mill, now transformed into an ecomuseum. The village is the birthplace of the composer and violinist Giovanni Battista Viotti, considered the composer of the original music used in the Marseillaise, the French national anthem.
