Camigliatello Silano is located in the town of Spezzano della Sila, between Cosenza and San Giovanni in Fiore and is the most famous mountain resort of Calabria. Surrounded by thick coniferous woods, it is only a few kilometers from the enchanting Cecita lake and the Cupone Visitor Center, in the Sila National Park.
The climate of this area is typically mountainous, with long and rigid winters that cause persistent snowfall. Visitable in all seasons of the year, Camigliatello is equipped with skilifts and ski slopes for winter sports located on Mount Curcio.
In summer the huge tree-lined expanses are suitable for all kinds of outdoor sports, from horse riding to horseback riding to mountain climbing, without forgetting mountain biking, for which the silan paths are particularly suitable.
Camigliatello is also a paradise for hiking, as there are many trails that surround the town and some of these are marked by the CAI and the National Park of Sila.
The center of Camigliatello has an innate tourist attitude and on the main course of the village you can buy local handicrafts, such as fabrics and kits, carpets and tapestries from nearby Longobucco, where the ancient art of weaving is still alive.
