Description
The Puzzone di Moena PDO Aged is one of the Dolomites’ finest and most authentic cheeses. After maturing for around 150 days, this cheese develops an intense and unmistakable character, fully expressing its aromatic complexity.
The washed rind encourages the development of strong, persistent aromas, with notes reminiscent of the ageing cellar, animal undertones and mature vegetal nuances. When cut, it reveals a soft, creamy texture that retains a pleasant elasticity despite the long maturation period.
On the palate, it offers a rich and enveloping flavour, with a distinct personality and a slight bitter note on the finish that enhances its uniqueness. It is an ideal cheese to enjoy on its own, accompanied by rustic bread, mountain honey, mostarda or full-bodied local red wines.
