There are times when we stop. Not from fatigue, but from amazement. In Ratschings, it is precisely these moments that accompany every step along the trails. And in three very special places, wonder becomes experience: the 360-degree viewing platforms at Lake Fuchsee, the Enzian Saddle and Mount Telfer.

These are not just viewpoints, but true stages of Alpine beauty. Carefully chosen and essential built, they let nature do the talking. And the careful observer discovers even more: names and altitudes of the surrounding peaks, engraved on elegant panels, help one find his or her way – without app, but with a deep sense of place.

Lake Fuchsee: The Mirror of Silence

High above the Val Ridanna valley, the Fuchsee lake stretches calmly between sky and mountain. When the wind is silent, its surface reflects the world like a mirror. Right here, in one of the quietest and most striking places in the valley, a viewing platform invites you to stop and breathe deeply.

A walk through the alpine pastures of Ridnaun, past the Kerschbaum, Joggele, and Valtigl huts, can be beautifully enhanced by a stop at this special place.
And those who arrive early in the morning will experience the magic of the lake at its most enchanting moment, when the sun turns it into liquid gold and the stillness becomes almost palpable.

Enzianjoch Saddle: A glimpse that remains

At the Enzianjoch Saddle, the view opens up in every direction, and for a moment time seems suspended. The platform, positioned on a quiet and lonely ridge, gives a view that touches the heart and widens the gaze.

Up here, the air is different. The horizon approaches, thoughts stretch, and the landscape stretches like a living map made of light, rock, and sky. A place where the mountain becomes pure emotion.

Mount Telfer: A perspective to be experienced

On Mount Telfer, the viewing platform fits harmoniously between meadows and wooded edges. It is not a spectacular peak, but a place that surprises with its openness and tranquility. It is easily reached by a leisurely hike from the top station of the Monte Cavallo gondola, and is perfect for a break with a view-whether with family, alone or as a couple.

Whether it’s at sunrise or in the middle of a hike: the 360-degree viewing platforms in Ratschings are places to breathe deeply, admire the landscape, capture emotions – and fall in love, once again, with the mountains.
