Val di Fassa Running

Event description

The second stage of the Val di Fassa Running 2026 takes athletes and enthusiasts to the heart of the Trentino Dolomites, offering a spectacular route through woods, alpine vistas and trails suspended above the valley.

On Monday 22 June, Vigo di Fassa hosts one of the most technical and picturesque stages of the multi-stage running event organised by Val di Fassa Grandi Eventi, which reaches its 25th edition in 2026.

Following the evening prologue in Canazei, the race gets into full swing with a 10.1 km stage featuring 329 metres of elevation gain, winding its way up the slopes of Ciampedie. The route passes through Valongia, climbs towards the Sanctuary of Santa Giuliana and continues along spectacular panoramic trails above Pera and Pozza di Fassa, offering unique views of the Dolomites.

The second stage represents one of the key moments of the competition: it is here that the overall men’s and women’s rankings begin to take shape, putting pace, endurance and energy management to the test.

Alongside the competitive race, there is also a route dedicated to walkers, 4.4 km long with 179 metres of elevation gain, designed to allow everyone to experience the atmosphere of the event whilst immersed in the natural beauty of the Val di Fassa.

Val di Fassa Running thus continues to prove itself a much-loved event among mountain running enthusiasts, combining sport, wellbeing and the discovery of the local area in one of Italy’s most captivating Alpine settings.
