Frasassi Climbing Festival

The Frasassi Climbing Festival 2026 returns from 27 to 30 August in the heart of the Gola della Rossa and Frasassi Regional Nature Park, cementing its status as one of Europe’s most important outdoor events.

Launched in 2015, the festival has transformed the cliffs, rock faces and trails of the Marche region into a veritable open-air stage, where climbing, nature and community come together. Every year it attracts climbers and enthusiasts from all over Italy and the world, with participants also coming from countries such as Australia, the United States and Hong Kong.

Over the four days, the area comes alive with activities for all levels: sport climbing, street bouldering, hikes and social gatherings, all set against a unique natural backdrop. The event is also an opportunity to experience the Park in a sustainable way, highlighting its environmental and cultural features.

Over the years, the Frasassi Climbing Festival has played a key role in the development of the area, contributing to the restoration of historic crags and the creation of new climbing sites, as well as the rediscovery of trails and natural areas. This work has been made possible thanks to the dedication of volunteers from across Europe and the support of numerous partners.

With thousands of participants, a wide range of events and a strong focus on sustainability, the festival is now an international benchmark for the world of climbing and outdoor activities.
