Christmas Market 2025

In the heart of Alta Pusteria, amid the snow-capped peaks of the 3 Cime di Lavaredo, the village of San Candido (Innichen) is transformed into a living nativity scene during the Advent season. From Nov. 28, 2025 to Jan. 6, 2026, its pedestrian zone will be filled with warm lights, spicy scents and Christmas carols echoing in the unique setting of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites.

The San Candido Christmas Market, also known as “Christmas in the Dolomites,” is among the most authentic and atmospheric in South Tyrol. Tradition is the watchword here: the wooden booths offer only handcrafted products, made from natural materials, and gift ideas with Alpine charm such as felt slippers, cirmolo wood decorations, wool blankets and handmade sculptures.

The atmosphere is intimate and cozy – less hectic than at other large markets – and for that very reason all the more magical. Every walk among the cinnamon-scented little houses is an invitation to slow down, to enjoy the nature and authenticity that make San Candido one of the most beloved Advent destinations.

There is no shortage of South Tyrolean culinary delights: the famous Lebkuchen, Zelten, mulled wine and Apfelglühmix, a hot drink made from apple juice and spices. In between tastings, visitors can be lulled by live Christmas melodies that make the atmosphere even more fairytale-like.
