Palio del Chiaretto

Every spring, Bardolino and Lazise are bathed in pink with the return of the Palio del Chiaretto, one of Lake Garda’s most popular food and wine festivals dedicated to the famous Bardolino Chiaretto rosé wine.

The event celebrates the charm, freshness and elegance of this wine, a symbol of the Lake Garda region, transforming the lakeside promenades of Bardolino and Lazise into a grand tasting trail amidst the colours, scents and springtime atmosphere. A perfect opportunity to enjoy the lake in the open air, strolling amongst stalls, wineries and panoramic views accompanied by a glass of Chiaretto.

Over three days, residents and visitors alike will be able to sample a variety of wines from local wineries, discovering the aromatic nuances and characteristics of one of the most iconic wines of the Veronese tradition. The rosé hue of Chiaretto thus becomes the central theme of a festival that brings together conviviality, the local area and wine culture.

Entry to the event is free and open to all. To take part in the tastings, you must purchase the bag containing the official Palio del Chiaretto glass, available from the wine producers’ stalls along the event route. Each tasting can then be purchased individually.

With its blend of food and wine, lake views and festive atmosphere, the Palio del Chiaretto is one of the most evocative spring events on Lake Garda, attracting thousands of enthusiasts from all over Italy every year.
