Sagra de lu Bucculotte cu lu Crastate

From 16 to 19 July 2026, the 18th Sagra de lu Bucculotte cu lu Crastate returns – one of the most cherished culinary events of the summer in Grottammare, in the Marche region. Organised by the Madonna della Speranza Parish, the event celebrates one of the most characteristic recipes of the local tradition, offering four evenings dedicated to authentic flavours, conviviality and the region’s culinary culture.

The stars of the festival are the bucculotte, a traditional type of wheat pasta, served with a savoury mutton sauce prepared according to a recipe handed down through the generations. Alongside the festival’s signature dish, visitors will also be able to enjoy the traditional mutton stew and other local specialities, on a culinary journey that showcases the authentic flavours of the Piceno region.

Originally created with the aim of preserving and promoting one of the region’s traditional recipes, the event has, over the years, become an important gathering for residents and visitors alike. In addition to its gastronomic value, the festival also serves as a charity initiative: the proceeds help to support the activities of the Madonna della Speranza Parish and the parish complex.
