Gavi Sotto le Stelle – Gavi Under the Stars

On Saturday 27 June 2026, the historic centre of Gavi will host the second edition of Gavi Sotto le Stelle (Gavi Under the Stars), an event celebrating the wine, cuisine and traditions of one of Piedmont’s most renowned regions. From 5.00 pm until midnight, the streets of the village will be transformed into an enchanting culinary journey where visitors and enthusiasts can enjoy an experience centred on conviviality and local specialities.

Organised by the Pro Loco of Gavi, the event was created with the aim of showcasing the region’s food and wine heritage and promoting the famous Gavi DOCG, one of Italy’s most internationally acclaimed white wines. Amidst medieval vistas, historic squares and a summery atmosphere, the village will provide the ideal setting for tasting fine wines and discovering the authentic flavours of the Gavi hills.

The undisputed star of the event will be Gavi DOCG itself, which visitors will be able to taste as part of a tour dedicated to local wineries and producers. Each glass will tell the story of a unique region, characterised by a long winemaking tradition and ideal conditions for producing elegant, fresh wines full of character.

Alongside the wine tastings, the historic centre will host numerous street food stalls where visitors can sample local culinary specialities and a selection of traditional produce. The culinary offerings will take visitors on a journey through authentic flavours, providing the perfect accompaniment to Gavi’s famous white wine.

Strolling through the illuminated streets of the village, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a warm and festive atmosphere, filled with encounters, aromas and moments of togetherness. The historic architecture of the old town will help to make this evening – designed to celebrate the bond between the local area, culture and tradition – even more enchanting.

Gavi Sotto le Stelle also offers the perfect opportunity to discover one of the most charming villages in the Alessandria area, dominated by the imposing Fortress of Gavi and surrounded by rolling hills that have for centuries borne witness to the region’s winemaking heritage.
