Fish Festival 2026
Event description
Fish Festival 2026 is one of the most eagerly awaited events in the Cilento region, a festival celebrating the sea, traditional cuisine and the area’s maritime heritage. From 18 to 20 September 2026, the port of Casal Velino Marina will be transformed into a vast open-air stage where flavour, music and tradition come together.
At the heart of the event are the food stalls, where the local catch takes centre stage. Visitors can sample typical dishes of Cilento cuisine, from mixed fried fish to seafood soups, as well as other specialities prepared according to simple yet flavourful recipes that highlight the quality of the fresh fish.
Over the three days, the harbour comes alive with live concerts, folk performances and entertainment for all ages. The evenings are filled with music and performances that create a festive and engaging atmosphere, perfect for experiencing the village in an authentic way.
There is no shortage of events dedicated to local tradition and culture, with initiatives linked to the world of fishing, themed gatherings and activities that recount the maritime history of Casal Velino. Among the most cherished events are the celebrations in honour of Saint Matthew, the village’s patron saint.
“Fish Festival” is much more than a festival: it is an experience that brings together community, tradition and hospitality, offering visitors the chance to discover Cilento through its flavours and its roots.
With free entry and an authentic atmosphere, it is the perfect opportunity to spend a weekend enjoying the sea, good food and a friendly atmosphere.
