Eel Festival 2026
Event description
From 26 September to 11 October 2026, Comacchio celebrates one of its most authentic symbols with the Eel Festival, an event that pays tribute to the ‘Queen of the Valleys’ over three weekends dedicated to gastronomy, traditions and culture. The historic centre is transformed into one huge, widespread festival, stretching from the picturesque Trepponti to the historic Manifattura dei Marinati, with food stalls open for lunch and dinner, dishes featuring eel and seafood from both the sea and the Valli, show cooking, masterclasses, tastings of Vini delle Sabbie wines, markets, concerts, shows, excursions in the Valli di Comacchio, guided tours and activities for the whole family. An unmissable event to discover the flavours and identity of one of Italy’s most fascinating lagoon cities.
