Klausen Christmas Market 2025

In the heart of the Eisack Valley, the picturesque town of Chiusa (Klausen) – known as the “city of artists” – is dressed in magic and romance to host one of South Tyrol’s most atmospheric Christmas markets. From Nov. 28 to Dec. 23, 2025, the streets of the old town are transformed into a true medieval Christmas village, where time seems to stand still and the warm light of candles envelops everything in an enchanted atmosphere.

Thousands of flames glitter on the facades of ancient buildings, while the cobblestone alleys smell of mulled wine, chestnuts and freshly baked sweets. In small wooden stalls and carefully decorated old cellars, one can discover handicrafts, Christmas decorations, candles, textiles and local products made with passion.

Every weekend of Advent, Klausen offers unique emotions: among the most anticipated events are the Living Nativity, the visit of the Baby Jesus and the evocative Sunday ritual of the night watchman, who lights hundreds of candles along the streets of the village, creating a fairy-tale atmosphere capable of enchanting young and old alike.

Walking through the streets of Klausen during the Christmas Market means reliving the charm of the Middle Ages, amid period costumes, Christmas melodies and a sense of peace and recollection that accompanies every step.
