The Sagra dell’Ulivo e dell’Olio di Brisighella (Brisighella Olive and Olive Oil Festival) is a historic event that every year, on the last Sunday of November, celebrates one of the territory’s most precious and identifying products: extra virgin olive oil. Now in its 65th edition, the event renews a bond that has its roots in antiquity: in fact, already in Roman times, the olive trees of the Brisighella hills were known and appreciated for the quality of their fruit.
The undisputed protagonist of the festival is the renowned “Brisighello” DOP, recognized with the Protected Designation of Origin in 1996, flanked by other local excellences such as the refined “Nobil Drupa”, the typical “Pieve Tho” and the “Orfanello”, with a more delicate taste and suitable even for younger palates.
During the day, visitors and enthusiasts can:
The Brisighella Olive and Olive Oil Festival is not only a time of celebration, but a real journey into the flavors, culture and traditions of Brisighella: a unique opportunity to discover how an ancient product continues to tell, even today, the story of an area.
