Kayaking on Lake Piediluco is an adrenaline-filled and enjoyable daily experience, designed to allow you to enjoy one of Umbria’s most exciting outdoor activities, surrounded by water, nature and picturesque landscapes.
The excursion takes place on board an inflatable canoe and is accompanied by expert instructors, who will guide the group on a discovery of Lake Piediluco and its unique atmosphere. Paddling in the calm waters of the lake, you will learn the correct technique in complete safety, alternating moments of movement with relaxing breaks.
Along the way, you will reach small panoramic coves from which you can admire views of the village of Labro, the peaks of Terminillo and the castle that dominates the landscape. Continuing the excursion, you will arrive at a particular point on the lake where you can hear your own voice echoing, creating a curious and engaging moment.
The experience continues to the area where the Nera River flows into Lake Piediluco, where the more curious can try ‘surfing’ on the naturally formed wave, making the activity even more dynamic and fun.
At the end of the kayaking excursion, you will return to the meeting point to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, ideal for relaxing and sharing your experience on the water.
After lunch, there is a free visit to the Marmore Falls, one of Umbria’s most iconic natural sites. With its 165 metres in height divided into three drops, the Marmore Falls is the second highest artificial waterfall in Europe and is located in the heart of the Valnerina, within the Nera River Park, also known as the Water Park.
