Alagna Music Festival 2026

From 1 to 4 August 2026, the Teatro Unione Alagnese in Alagna Valsesia will host the thirteenth edition of the Alagna Music Festival, a festival dedicated to great classical music which, year after year, attracts enthusiasts and talented performers to the foothills of Monte Rosa. The 2026 edition shines the spotlight on the rising stars of the international concert scene, offering the public four evenings during which young musicians of extraordinary calibre will tackle some of the most celebrated works from the piano and chamber music repertoire.

The festival will open on Saturday 1 August with a recital by the 23-year-old pianist Giovanni Mascia, featuring works by Bach/Busoni, Alkan, Saint-Saëns and Schumann, showcasing his renowned technical virtuosity. On Sunday 2 August, pianist Simone Pedroni and the young pianist Christiana Coppola, aged just 21, will take to the stage with a programme dedicated to Rachmaninov and Prokofiev.

On 3 August, the festival will present one of its most eagerly awaited events, featuring Simone Pedroni, the violinist Marco Bronzi and the cellist Christiana Coppola, who will perform the monumental Tchaikovsky Trio, one of the most intense and significant works in chamber music. The event will draw to a close on Tuesday 4 August with a performance by the very young pianist Martina Meola, just thirteen years old and already a multiple prize-winner in numerous competitions, who will present a recital featuring works by Chopin, Prokofiev and Liszt, reaffirming the festival’s commitment to promoting the great talents of the future.

All concerts will begin at 6.30 pm at the Teatro Unione Alagnese, offering the opportunity to experience great music in an intimate and evocative setting, nestled within the extraordinary Alpine landscape of Alagna Valsesia. The Alagna Music Festival is, in fact, not only an important cultural event but also an opportunity to discover one of Piedmont’s most charming mountain villages, where nature, Walser tradition and artistic heritage come together in a unique atmosphere.
