Festival of Medieval Arts

From 4 to 6 September 2026, the historic centre of Narni will once again host the Festival of Medieval Arts, an event dedicated to rediscovering medieval history through a cultural, participatory and engaging approach.

For three days, this Umbrian village becomes a meeting place for scholars, re-enactors, craftspeople and enthusiasts, offering a packed programme of talks, workshops, hands-on sessions, conferences and cultural events designed to deepen understanding of the Middle Ages and its arts.

The Festival goes beyond traditional historical re-enactment, offering an experience that combines research, outreach and experimentation. It is an opportunity to understand how men and women of the past lived, and to rediscover ancient trades, craft techniques and traditions that continue to this day to reflect the identity of the region.

The squares, alleyways and historic spaces of Narni thus become settings for exchange and participation, where history and the present engage in dialogue through immersive experiences designed for visitors of all ages.

The full programme for the event will be unveiled in the coming weeks, featuring a host of events that will make the Festival of Medieval Arts one of the most eagerly awaited cultural events of the Umbrian autumn.
