From 24 to 26 July 2026, the picturesque village of Bassiano, in the Lepini Mountains in the province of Latina, will celebrate the 57th Bassiano Ham Festival, one of Lazio’s most important food and wine events dedicated to one of the most renowned cured meats of the local tradition.
For three days, the historic centre comes alive with a packed programme of events combining gastronomy, culture, entertainment and folk traditions, offering visitors the chance to experience first-hand the culinary excellence that has made this ancient village famous.
The undisputed star of the event is Bassiano Ham, the region’s iconic product, which can be sampled alongside numerous local culinary specialities at food stalls, guided tastings and engaging cookery demonstrations showcasing the flavours of the Lepini tradition.
The festival will also be an opportunity to discover the village’s historical and cultural heritage through guided tours that will take participants through the narrow streets, squares and monuments, recounting the history of one of the most fascinating medieval towns in the Lepini Mountains.
