Snail Festival

On 18 and 19 July 2026, the Campo Tamburello in Casale Marittimo, in the heart of the Etruscan Coast, will host the traditional Snail Festival, one of the most distinctive gastronomic events of the Tuscan summer, dedicated to the authentic flavours of the Val di Cecina and the Pisan Maremma.

For two days, the village will welcome residents and visitors alike to an event celebrating the region’s cuisine, offering the chance to rediscover traditional recipes and local produce in a friendly and authentic atmosphere.

The food stalls will be open on Saturday evening and on Sunday for both lunch and dinner, offering a varied menu centred on snails, prepared according to traditional local recipes, alongside other typical specialities of Tuscan and Maremma cuisine.

The Snail Festival is much more than just a culinary event: it is an occasion for people to come together, enjoy each other’s company and celebrate the rural traditions that have always characterised this corner of Tuscany, where good food provides an opportunity to spend time together and rediscover the authentic flavours of the region.

The event is also an excellent opportunity to visit Casale Marittimo, one of the most picturesque villages in the province of Pisa, strolling through its cobbled alleyways, taking in panoramic views and the rolling hills overlooking the Etruscan Coast.
