The Middle Ages in Valvasone 2026

From 3 to 6 September 2026, the village of Valvasone will step back in time with “Middle Ages in Valvasone”, one of the most popular and well-attended historical re-enactments of the Friulian summer, now in its 34th year.

For four days, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages is transformed into an authentic medieval setting, where narrow streets, squares and ancient residences bring the atmosphere of the Middle Ages back to life through shows, entertainment, markets, historical encampments and evocative banquets.

The event offers an immersive experience capable of engaging visitors of all ages: ladies, knights, jesters, musicians and craftsmen bring the historic centre to life, reviving traditions, trades and scenes of everyday medieval life. Every corner of the village becomes an integral part of the re-enactment, offering unique views and a timeless atmosphere.
