The RadicalMente Festival is much more than a literary event: it is an invitation to think, live and feel radically, in an age that all too often favours compromise over truth. Each year, the festival brings writers, journalists, philosophers and leading figures from the world of culture to Castel del Giudice to foster a genuine dialogue on the major issues of our time.

The panoramic square of the Borgotufi ‘albergo diffuso’ is transformed for the occasion into a veritable Literary Village, brought to life by talks, meetings, workshops, creative and calligraphy sessions, literary face painting, local craft markets and convivial moments such as aperitifs and literary dinners at sunset. A unique atmosphere, capable of blending reflection with the beauty of the Apennine landscape.

The very name of the festival encapsulates its deepest meaning: ‘radicalmente’ unites the root (radix) with the mind (mens), suggesting the importance of keeping one’s feet firmly planted in memory and traditions, to allow thought to venture towards new perspectives. It is a conceptual journey in which books become vehicles for exploring universal values: beauty, democracy, community, the feminine, justice, love.

The RadicalMente Festival is therefore a collective quest that invites us to return to our roots to give meaning to the present and imagine the future, combining culture, community and the local area in an experience that enriches and unites.
