The Cervia Mussel Festival
This event ended on 2 June 2026.
The Cervia Mussel Festival is one of the most eagerly awaited culinary events of the spring on the Romagna Riviera, dedicated to celebrating one of the Adriatic Sea’s most iconic products: the Cervia mussel, also known as the ‘wild mussel’ due to its intense flavour and the fact that it grows naturally in local waters.
The 2026 edition will take place from 30 May to 2 June in Cervia, transforming the canal harbour and surrounding areas into a vast space dedicated to seafood cuisine and maritime traditions.
During the event, food stalls and local restaurants will offer a wide range of mussel-based dishes: from the classic peppered mussels to gratin versions, right through to creative recipes that highlight the authentic flavour of this mollusc typical of the Cervia coast. It is the perfect opportunity to discover and taste one of the most beloved specialities of Romagna cuisine.
Alongside the food, the event offers live music, shows and entertainment, creating a festive and convivial atmosphere that draws in visitors, tourists and local residents alike. The festival also provides an opportunity to learn more about maritime culture and the historical link between Cervia and fishing.
With the aromas of the kitchen, authentic flavours and the lively atmosphere of the town, The Cervia Mussel Festival is an unmissable event for lovers of seafood and the traditions of the Adriatic Riviera.
