Gusto Nobile Basilicata
This event ended on 10 May 2026.
Gusto Nobile Basilicata makes its debut from 8 to 10 May 2026 in Venosa, bringing an event dedicated to the culinary and wine excellence of Basilicata – encompassing wine, culture and tradition – to the heart of Horace’s city.
The event was created with the aim of showcasing an authentic region, rich in history and quality produce, drawing inspiration from the Carpe Diem philosophy of Horace, who was born in Venosa: living in the present through the conscious enjoyment of wine and good food.
The programme opens on Friday 8 May with the evocative Small Plates Dinner, a dinner spread across the historic centre featuring local restaurateurs, who will reinterpret the gastronomic traditions of Basilicata in a contemporary style, accompanied by a selection of regional wines.
The heart of the event takes place on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May within the grounds of the Aragonese Castle in Venosa, where wine tastings from all over Italy are held, with a particular focus on the finest wines from the Vulture, Val d’Agri and Matera-Ionio regions. The prestigious WineHunter Masterclasses, guided experiences designed for enthusiasts and professionals, will also be held here.
At the same time, Piazza Umberto I is hosting the Coldiretti Village, with stalls dedicated to typical regional products, offering a journey through local flavours, traditions and craftsmanship.
Organised in collaboration with the Consorzio di Tutela dell’Aglianico del Vulture, the Basilicata Region and the Municipality of Venosa, with the support of the Merano WineFestival, Gusto Nobile aims to be a key event for wine tourism and the promotion of the region.
Gusto Nobile is much more than an event: it is an immersive experience that combines wine, culture and identity, inviting visitors to discover and experience Basilicata through its most authentic flavours.
