Humanistic palace and home of the Farnese family. It was built at the behest of Alessandro Farnese, who entrusted the design to Antonio da Sangallo.
The palace has sumptuous frescoed rooms and houses the Museo del Costume Farnesiano: a collection of Renaissance clothes, weapons and tools. The same building houses the National Centre for Studies on the Farnese Family.
