The Santuario della Madonna dell’Umiltà is situated on the extremity of Loro Ciuffenna, in Tuscany. It was built at the beginning of the XVII century to host the esteemed icon of the Madonna, already present in a tabernacle. The building, whose façade is divided in two combined styles and that ends with a triangular tympanum, is extended on a Latin cross plan with a single nave divided into couples of pilasters with Corinthian capitals and covered by a barrel vault; the arms of the transept have ribbed vaults. The inside preserves the fresco that depicts the Madonna with Child and the Saints Pietro and Giovanni Battista (XV century), the Nativity of the Virgin attributed to Matteo Rosselli (XVII century) and San Carlo Borromeo worshipping the crucifix, attributed to Agostino Ciampelli (XVII century). In the middle of the vault there is a fresco of the Assumption (XVII century).
