Looking out of the windows of the Madama room and the Messere room, one can admire the church of Orsanmichele. “Stanno sul canto verso Orto San Michele, in faccia ai Tiebalducci nel sesto di San Pier Scheraggio.” This is how, in 13th-century documents, the Buonaguisi, fierce supporters of the Ghibelline side who suffered replicated condemnations from the Guelph side, are remembered.

In the hotel, lovingly managed by Mrs. Anna Thiele, there are, in addition, original wooden ceilings, Tuscan terracotta floors and stone walls of the 14th-century house/tower from which the palace rose.
