Roger Lambrechts Archaeological Museum

What to see in Artena, Roma, Lazio

Located inside the former Borghese Granary, the Roger Lambrechts Archaeological Museum is one of the most interesting places to visit in the village of Artena.

The materials on display, often preserved in their entirety, illustrate the life of the republican-era settlement and provide a yet unknown name.

For decades, the Local Archaeological Group has been exploring and recovering the archaeological heritage of the area, which has also contributed to the display by providing information on the settlement system. The villas frequented until late antiquity are located near the museum and the archaeological area of Piano della Civita, about 1 km from the historic center of medieval origin.
