WiMu Barolo Wine Museum

What to see in Barolo, Cuneo, Piedmont

The wine museum of Barolo, Piedmont, is an exhibition space historical, artistic and multimedia dedicated to wine and the civilization enoica, and is located in the halls of the thirteenth century castle of the Falletti family, in the historical region of the Langhe. WiMu is an invitation to a symbolic immersion, emotional and sensory perception in the culture of wine. The visit - that winds through twenty-five rooms with exhibition concepts in different ways in each room - starts from the upper floor and then descend on the lower floors: the third floor is devoted to the times of the wine where the visitor is transported to the root of the screw. The second floor focuses on the ancient relationship between the wine and the arts: visual arts, literature, music, cinema and culinary arts. The Noble Floor pays homage to the history of the castle and the famous personalities (La Marchesa Giulia di Barolo and the patriot Silvio Pellico) who have lived as well as a library on the history of the Barolo wine. The visit ends in the basement where you can discover and taste of the grand crus of Barolo.
