Wharf

What to see in Trebisacce, Cosenza, Calabria

The Trebisacce Pier is an architectural work that rises majestically over the Ionian Sea. This veritable walkway over the sea allows one to admire wonderful sunrises and sunsets, providing moments of unforgettable beauty.

The historic docking of the pier allowed a safe anchorage for fishing boats and vessels. Thanks to this structure, the town of Trebisacce has been able to develop a thriving economy related to fishing and maritime activity in general.

Through the wharf the products of Trebisacce's small industries were sorted to the rest of Calabria, but also to other regions. For this reason, the dock ensured a stable economy for the Ionian town, becoming one of the symbols of local identity and history.

Today the wharf is still one of the most frequented places by tourists visiting Calabria. Its striking beauty and historical and economic value make it a must-see destination for those who want to discover the wonders of the Ionian region.
