The Church of Santa Croce

What to see in Casamassima, Bari, Apulia

the mother church of the village of Casamassima, in Puglia, in romanesque style, dates back to 1321, when it was first built by expanding a more ancient original body, dating back to 1100 - 1200. It is constituted by three large naves and inside, among the many works of notable interest, there are a baptismal font of 1200 and the statue of San Rocco, the patron saint of the city. Also worthy of note is the bell tower of Romanesque style.
