
Apple in Mel is the great autumn festival that transforms the village of Mel into a lively stage of flavors, traditions and popular culture.
For the occasion, ten splendid 16th-century noble courtyards, usually closed, are opened to the public, animated by Fractional Groups and local associations with displays, shows and a touch of goliardia.
The heart of the event is the apple, presented in its many varieties, cultivated in a healthy and natural way, but there is no shortage of Bellunese gastronomic excellence: from malga cheeses to honey from the Dolomites, from artisanal grappas to the different varieties of local beans, without forgetting the Bellunese zucca santa, pastin and other typical products at km0. A riot of scents and flavors that also finds its expression in the market exhibition of handicrafts and local products.
Among the specialties not to be missed are the symbolic sweets of the festival: the Zumeloti and Zumela, genuine recipes that bring back memories of the flavors of the past, simple but rich in taste.
