Ortigia Film Festival 2025

From September 20 to 27, 2025, the Ortigia Film Festival (OFF) returns for its 17th edition with a new look and even more integrated into the cultural heart of Syracuse. After years of summer programming, the festival has decided to move its dates to September, in agreement with the municipality, to encourage wider and more relaxed enjoyment of the events, while also contributing to the seasonality of tourism in the city.

The new calendar offers the perfect setting: long days, mild weather, evocative light, and fewer tourists. These conditions will make the open-air screenings, meetings with authors, special events, and all the activities that have characterized the festival for years, always attentive to cultural innovation and the promotion of the territory, even more engaging.

Preceding the official festival week, OFF 2025 will offer spin-off events and outreach initiatives designed to build anticipation and forge an emotional and narrative bond with the audience. This year’s edition promises to be a widespread cinematic experience, embracing Ortigia and Syracuse in an atmosphere suspended between great cinema, history, and Mediterranean beauty.
