Its entrance, adorned with an elegant portal of fine workmanship, is cleverly off-center toward the nearby church, creating a strong visual and spiritual link between the two places. Through a covered hallway, visitors can directly access the cloister arm, a place that once housed the contemplative life of the friars. Today, the convent, which is owned by the municipality, has taken on a new function as the Town Hall, thus integrating the historicity of the site with the modern administrative life of Altomonte and helping to keep alive the memory of a past rich in religious and community values. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Today, the city-owned convent, the Convent of the Minimal Franciscans in Altomonte is an example of monastic architecture that combines history and spirituality<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":318840,"template":"","village-conntection":[50388],"what-to-see-region-and-provinces":[76121,76123],"what-to-see-category":[30159],"class_list":["post-318845","what-to-see","type-what-to-see","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","village-conntection-altomonte-it","what-to-see-region-and-provinces-calabria-en","what-to-see-region-and-provinces-cosenza-en","what-to-see-category-place-of-cult"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/what-to-see\/318845","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/what-to-see"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/what-to-see"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/what-to-see\/318845\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/318840"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=318845"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"village-conntection","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/village-conntection?post=318845"},{"taxonomy":"what-to-see-region-and-provinces","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/what-to-see-region-and-provinces?post=318845"},{"taxonomy":"what-to-see-category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/what-to-see-category?post=318845"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
