Its construction in its present form is closely linked to the historical events of the Spinola nobles, who ruled the territory for a long period. It is said that the construction of this well was a gesture aimed not only at beautifying the family residence, but also at winning popular favor by facilitating access to an essential commodity of the time: water. The work, in addition to providing an easier supply, was designed with a striking decorative imprint, adding a touch of beauty to the square that today bears the name of Santo Bertelli. The Baroque Well of Arquata Scrivia thus became a symbol of providence and aesthetics that still fascinates visitors today, allowing them to immerse themselves in the history and ingenuity of the period.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Dating back to 1598, Pozzo Barocco represents a work of art steeped in history and significance in Arquata Scrivia<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":303264,"template":"","village-conntection":[50408],"what-to-see-region-and-provinces":[76182,76181],"what-to-see-category":[28438],"class_list":["post-311682","what-to-see","type-what-to-see","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","village-conntection-arquata-scrivia-it","what-to-see-region-and-provinces-alessandria-en","what-to-see-region-and-provinces-piedmont","what-to-see-category-attraction-monument"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/what-to-see\/311682","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/what-to-see"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/what-to-see"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/what-to-see\/311682\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/303264"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=311682"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"village-conntection","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/village-conntection?post=311682"},{"taxonomy":"what-to-see-region-and-provinces","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/what-to-see-region-and-provinces?post=311682"},{"taxonomy":"what-to-see-category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/what-to-see-category?post=311682"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
