The skiing and hiking area in the north of South Tyrol. The Monte Cavallo ski area is located just a stone’s throw from the historic centre of Sterzing in South Tyrol. The “Vipiteno sun terrace” offers a breathtaking panorama, with views over the South Tyrolean Alps, the Eisack Valley, all the way to the Dolomites.<\/p>\n
In winter, in addition to 20 kilometres of sunny ski slopes, there are magnificent snowshoe hikes and toboggan runs for all winter sports enthusiasts. Monte Cavallo is home to Italy’s longest floodlit toboggan run. Next to the groomed ski slopes are cosy mountain huts and refuges that welcome you with Tyrolean culinary specialities and Mediterranean delicacies.<\/p>\n
In summer, we welcome you with a large alpine pasture and panoramic hikes of all difficulty levels and various attractions for all ages.<\/p>\n
