The Monte Cavallo ski area is located just a stone&#8217;s throw from the historic centre of Sterzing in South Tyrol. The &#8220;Vipiteno sun terrace&#8221; offers a breathtaking panorama, with views over the South Tyrolean Alps, the Eisack Valley, all the way to the Dolomites.<\/p>\n<p>In winter, in addition to 20 kilometres of sunny ski slopes, there are magnificent snowshoe hikes and toboggan runs for all winter sports enthusiasts. Monte Cavallo is home to Italy&#8217;s longest floodlit toboggan run.
