The monumental drinking trough stands at the gates of the town, at the foot of the castle and is located at the road leading to the state-owned pastures of the mountains around Geraci; it owes its name to the\u2019ancient church of the Holy Trinity (attested since the\u201911th century), which once stood on a hillock on the site of the\u2019current public garden.<\/p>\n
The fountain, made of freestone, \u00e8 consists of a long basin flanked by two cusped turrets bearing the emblems of\u2019Universitas of Geraci; in the central wall, crowned by swallow-tailed battlements, \u00e8 placed instead the crest of the Ventimiglias (a lion on the\u2019helmet brandishing a sword), commissioners of the\u2019work.<\/p>\n
