The structure retains its original fa\u00e7ade with a pointed arch portal and a rose window with radial columns, evidence of medieval architectural aesthetics.<\/p>\n<p>Inside, however, the interior was transformed during the 17th century, adopting a Baroque style but retaining its historical and artistic importance. Among the works preserved, the church houses a valuable Deposition, the work of a 17th-century Neapolitan school, embellished with exquisite artistic craftsmanship.<\/p>\n<p>One of the church&#8217;s most significant treasures is the relic of the cloak of St Francis of Assisi, donated by the saint himself to the city in 1222.
