At the entrance to the work is a female reproductive organ, representing the beginning of a journey to the center of life and self. The labyrinth unfolds in 9 concentric circles, with different symbolic elements representing the different stages of the journey. In the center of the labyrinth we find an olive tree, a symbol of peace.<\/p>\n
This evocative artistic path was created by Mantuan sculptor Italo Lanfredini in 1990 for the open-air museum “Fiumara d’arte.” The goal was to create a path between art and culture, uniting two different worlds through the language of art. Since its first moment, Labyrinth of Ariadne has been a great success and has become an important artistic monument in the region.<\/p>\n
Admission to Ariadne’s Labyrinth is free and free of charge.
