Located in the south of Tuscany, Capalbio stands on a hill covered by the typical Maremma scrub. The municipality was awarded with the 5 sails and it is in first\u00a0place in the Blue Guide for the reception and quality of its area.<\/p>\n<p>Its history is closely connected to the <strong>Tre Fontane Castle of Rome<\/strong>, which today dominates the valley below. The different and characteristic neighboring hamlets make the village\u00a0very famous. Among the most important tourist attractions there is the famous <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/what-to-see\/capalbio-tarot-garden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Giardino dei Tarocchi<\/a><\/strong>, an artistic park of cyclopic sculptures created by <em>Niki de Saint Phalle<\/em> on a hill near Capalbio.<\/p>\n<p>There are several typical products to taste and they are all accompanied by excellent wines. The Capalbio Doc includes white, red, ros\u00e9 and <em>vin santo<\/em> wines produced in the hilly and foothill area of the southern part of the province of Grosseto. An area of ancient wine production whose wild Mediterranean beauty leaves room for hills rich in olive groves and vineyards. The cuisine is characterized by dishes linked to both land and sea.\u00a0Capalbio Bianco and Capalbio Vermentino go well with seafood dishes, particularly molluscs and shellfish and typical Tuscan dishes such as <em>panzanella<\/em>, <em>marzolino<\/em>, rice soup. The Capalbio Rosso and the red monovariety are to be tasted with more structured dishes such as <em>fegatelli<\/em>, meatloaf <em>alla fiorentina<\/em>, <em>ribollita<\/em>, steak <em>alla fiorentina<\/em>, hare. The Rosato goes perfectly with <em>panzanella<\/em>, Tuscan croutons, colonnata lard, Tuscan caciotta, tomato soup, lentil soup and pulses in general.\u00a0Capalbio <em>Vin Santo<\/em> is suitable to be enjoyed together with sweets and dry pastries such as Prato biscuits, <em>brigidini<\/em>, <em>castagnaccio<\/em>, <em>ricciarelli<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>There are several events that take place in the village of Capalbio among which the <strong>International Short Film Festival<\/strong>.
