In Pigna, in Liguria, time and life depend\u00a0on\u00a0the passing\u00a0of the seasons, while the rules and standards are imposed by the climate. The enchantment of the places is biblical. The sea is very close, nevertheless\u00a0we are already in the mountains: this\u00a0can be witnessed by\u00a0the majestic migration\u00a0of birds, the impervious heights, the wonderful panoramas, the smells and scents of the land.<\/p>\n
Pigna presents itself like\u00a0a waterfall of ancient houses reunited as a \"pigna\" (pine cone), crossed by narrow \"chibi' (dark steep lanes): a cluster of houses that descends gently along a soft hill, while up high the bulk of the medieval bell tower resists proudly. The frescoes of Canavesio in the small church of San Bernardo <\/a><\/strong>and the magnificent ruins of the San Tommaso one, downstream of the village, can be admired in its full splendour as proof of\u00a0the cultural and artistic patrimony of the village.<\/p>\n A change of direction leads us to Buggio, pastoral and rural centre, which ends with the spectacular central square.
