Precisely in the week following World Climate Day, &#8220;the pearl of the Tyrrhenian&#8221; also officially opposes the use of organic material that causes the greatest damage to the environment. The <strong>mayor Armando Cusani<\/strong>, in fact, has signed an ordinance that forbids the use of <strong>no-biodegradable envelopes<\/strong> in commercial establishments and foodstuffs.<\/p>\n<p>Bars, restaurants, pizzerias, hotels. But also bathing establishments, campsites and holiday homes: an entire tourist sector operating in <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/en\/village\/Latina\/15\/sperlonga\" rel=\"noopener\">Sperlonga<\/a><\/strong> will have to guarantee to customers arriving next summer dishes, glasses, cutlery, straws and bottles, all strictly composed of <strong>compostable material<\/strong>. Those who go shopping in supermarkets can only use paper bags or cloth bags. And, since the administration must set a good example, during the sessions of the city council the water must be served in a carafe and served in paper or glass cups.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Spiaggia di Sperlonga\" src=\"https:\/\/www.e-borghi.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-ultimate-csv-importer-pro\/importExtensions\/..\/assets\/images\/loading-image.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"549\"><\/p>\n<p>The provision, which will come i<strong>nto force on May 1st<\/strong>, aims to protect the <strong>sea<\/strong> and the splendid <strong>beach<\/strong> of Sperlonga, which is too often the victim of disrespectful behavior by some swimmers who leave plastic packages or bottles on the sand. Those who break the ban will be punished with <strong>fines<\/strong> ranging from 25 to 500 euros.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab<em>The abandonment of plastic waste<\/em> &#8211; claims the mayor of Sperlonga &#8211; <em>not only damages the environment but creates <strong>economic damage<\/strong>, in addition to tourism, also to the <strong>fishing<\/strong> and <strong>navigation<\/strong> sectors\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>We hope that other Italian municipalities will also imitate the <strong>ecological example<\/strong> of Sperlonga: the environment must be protected starting from our daily habits.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ban, wanted by the administration of the &#8220;Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea&#8221;, will come into force on May 1st.
