Spring are closing in and\u00a0the desire of out-of-town sundays grows, better if spent on a historic train, with different final destinations. Lake Iseo, for example, also with a ride on a boat or tasting the typical products of the Lombard tradition. All this is possible from May until December with the Italian Touristic Railways (F.T.I.)<\/em><\/a><\/strong> with the Lombard sections of\u00a0Lower Sebino Railroad<\/em> and Camuna Touristic Railroad<\/em>, in collaboration with FS Foundation, Ferrovie Nord, Lombardia Region and with the support of Italia Holiday and other entities. The “TrenoBLU. Touristic trains to the Lake Iseo… and not only”<\/em> initiative, this year at its 25th season, always includes departures from Milan, especially towards Lake Iseo and its surroundings, without forgetting other interesting places of the region, scenario of curious events and delicious, mostly gastronomic. And the best part is that the events will be held alternately with historical steam trains, towed by a 1922’s puffing locomotive – the legendary 625-177, called the “Miss”<\/em>, now almost one hundred year old – with its typical centoporte<\/em> carriages,\u00a0with classic wooden benches of the 30’s and with diesel engines of the 60’s. The trip will take place mainly along the two railways that arrive at Lake Iseo: the Palazzolo sull’Oglio-Paratico Sarnico Touristic Line, reactivated in 1994 thanks to the initiative of FBS, Trenitalia and RFI, WWF, local authorities and private companies and the Brescia-Iseo-Pisogne Line.
