On Sunday 21 June 2026<\/strong>, the Fontecchio Oasis, in the heart of the Subequana Valley, will host the sixth edition of the Music Festival, one of the most evocative cultural events of the Abruzzo summer. A day dedicated to the convergence of art, nature and community, set against the extraordinary backdrop of the Sirente Velino Regional Park<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event will take place in the nature reserve situated next to the ancient medieval tannery of Fontecchio,<\/strong><\/a> along the Cammino di Celestino V, a place rich in history and charm that welcomes artists, musicians and visitors from all over Italy every year. The event is the result of a collaboration between the La Kap ETS association, the local community and numerous local organisations, thanks to the voluntary commitment of the village\u2019s inhabitants.<\/p>\n

The theme chosen for the 2026 edition is \u2018The Voices of Places\u2019, an invitation to rediscover the value of collective memory through music, song and folk traditions. The initiative aims to pay tribute to the cultural identities of the regions, the stories of the communities and the artistic expressions that recount the deep bond between people and places.<\/p>\n

Particular attention will be given to projects related to choral singing, folk music and artistic forms that celebrate the local cultural heritage. Concerts, performances, creative workshops, talks and participatory activities will bring the whole day to life, transforming the Fontecchio Oasis into a space open to creativity and sharing.<\/p>\n

The Music Festival stands out for its inclusive and participatory nature. There are no barriers between professionals and enthusiasts, nor any limits based on musical genres. Musicians, bands, performers, dancers, artists and creatives are invited to contribute to the creation of a collective event that places dialogue and cultural exchange at its heart.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the public call for proposals, which is already open, artists from a variety of backgrounds can propose concerts, workshops and artistic activities to share with the public. Selected participants will be welcomed with free accommodation by the Fontecchio community, reinforcing the spirit of hospitality that has always characterised the event.<\/p>\n

With its trails, mountain scenery and historical landmarks, the Fontecchio Music Festival offers a unique opportunity to enjoy a day dedicated to culture, sustainability and community involvement. A free event open to all, where music serves as a means of bringing people together and celebrating local identities.<\/p>\n
