The historic Church of Our Lady of Grace è a hidden gem in the picturesque village of Semproniano, at the beginning of the road leading to Saturnia, Tuscany. Erected in the 16th century on an ancient hermitage, this church exudes a quiet charm and an aura of serenity.
Main entrance: an architraved portal with rose window opens the doors to a rectangular interior hall, characterized by a trussed roof, entirely redone in the 18th century. This simple but fascinating structure offers a glimpse into the region’s past and artistic heritage.
The interior of the church houses two altars, each with an artistic masterpiece. On the first, a Madonna and Child, a 1788 work by Elisabetta Anna Taverni, stands out, while on the second is a St. Anthony of Padua in front of the Madonna and Child, attributed to the hand of Francesco Nasini.
